Norman Labs Speakers History:
Jim Long started Norman Labs in 1971 with Leonard Bernstein. Jim was an engineering graduate of the University of Oklahoma who graduated in 1965 and worked in the audio field for a few years, including with Altec, before forming Norman Laboratories. Jim Long was in charge of engineering and production and Leonard Bernstein did sales and marketing. They sold the company to an investment group from Ft. Worth, Texas, in about 1981 and Jim left the company in about 1984. Norman Labs most well known speaker was probably the Norman Laboratories Model 10 which had a similar design to the 432.
